One of the significant changes I am noticing in the
process of my growing up is losing people. I thought that there could be many
more people going through the same phase. Few of us are quite great at handling
emotions and heartbreaks, but most of us get directionless and we try to fill
the empty space with the wrong people and end up being at the same place again.
For the longest time I thought that losing people was a curse, but actually
losing people is the only solution to break this vicious cycle.
Do you remember Olaf telling ‘some people are worth
melting for’ to Anna in the movie Frozen? Well, most people are not worth it. If
you are with people who aren’t treating you the way you deserve to be treated,
then you MUST leave. Once you grow up, move ahead in life, then being the
popular kid of school or University means nothing. It’s only your hard work
that pays off. If your friends are making your life difficult, get rid of them.
Let the odds stay against you, don’t disturb your calm for them.
In this age of filters, real people are hard to
find. We get attracted to pretty faces and soon ingress them in our heart and
they turn to be ugly from inside. Trust me on this, you are better off alone
than with wrong people. You need to stop seeing yourself through others’ eyes.
It is impossible to walk with thirty people in your life and trust them all
equally, but if at the age of thirty you have three people in your life, they
are GOLD, don’t lose them!
The journey of life is full of ups and downs so try
not focusing on just falls. When you were young, you have seen big dreams, try
not disappointing yourself. You are a privilege have in anyone’s life, learn to
abandon the people who make you feel the opposite.
Life is really short. Choose people who make you feel
happy and special.
Love
Raneeta
